NIMCET Tie-Breaking Rules & Qualifying Marks Policy
In case two or more candidates obtain identical aggregate marks in NIMCET, the organizing committee resolves ties using the following hierarchical criteria:
- Rule 1 (Mathematics Score): The candidate obtaining higher marks in the Mathematics section receives the higher rank.
- Rule 2 (Reasoning Score): If the tie persists, higher marks in Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning determines the rank.
- Rule 3 (Computer Score): If still tied, higher marks in Computer Awareness decides the merit position.
- Rule 4 (Age Priority): If still tied, the candidate older in age will be placed higher in the merit list.
Disqualification Clause:
Candidates scoring zero or negative marks in Mathematics or obtaining zero/negative marks overall will be disqualified from receiving an All India Rank.
