Eligible Undergraduate Degrees for NIMCET

1. BCA / B.Sc (Computer Science / IT)

Directly eligible provided the candidate has secured at least 60% marks (or 6.5 CGPA) in aggregate.

2. B.Sc / B.Sc (Hons) in Mathematics / Statistics / Physics

Eligible, provided Mathematics or Statistics was studied as a core subject in graduation or at 10+2.

3. B.Tech / B.E / B.Arch

All engineering graduates from recognized AICTE/UGC universities are eligible to apply.

4. B.Com / B.A Candidates

Eligible only if Mathematics or Statistics was studied as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or in college.

Open Schooling & Distance Education Eligibility

Candidates who completed 10+2 through National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) or graduation through recognized open universities (such as IGNOU or state open universities) are eligible provided the university is UGC-DEB recognized.

1. Is Mathematics compulsory in 12th for NIMCET?
Mathematics or Statistics must be present either at the 10+2 level OR during your graduation degree. If you did not have Maths in 12th but studied it during BCA/B.Sc, you are fully eligible.

Yes, candidates in their final year of graduation can appear for NIMCET. They must submit their provisional degree and marksheets meeting the 60% minimum cutoff during counseling.
